Started Thanksgiving Day by doing a 10-mile run called "The Turkey Trot." Part of the objective of the run is to predict your finishing time and to make it more interesting they don’t let you wear a watch as you run. My coach had predicted my finishing time at around 2:54. I’d predicted it at around 2:23 (which seemed optimistic).
I actually finished the run in 2:06:59. I was stunned — figured I’d be lucky to get under 2:40. But I felt strong and ran well.
